The Great White Shark
Also known as 'white pointer', even though only her underbelly is white, these sharks have a slate grey body to help them "blend" into the coastal sea floor.
This giant predator averages 15 feet in length but can grow to 21 feet long. The great white shark is the most feared animal in all the oceans of the world. She is incredibly powerful due to her strong muscles, good eyesight and amazing sense of smell AND she has teeth that can crush bone and saw through flesh! She can swim up to 15 miles per hour and will eat almost anything in the ocean.
The Great White species is vulnerable as a result of net entanglements, overfishing, shark hunting and pollution.
