When given as a gift  they are said to bring good luck and blessings. In nature, the sand dollar is an awesome purply creature that lives on the sandy sea floor and feeds on microscopic algae and the crustacean larvae it traps in its fuzzy spines and tiny cilia. These velvety hairs ferry the captured “food” to the sand dollar’s mouth. Large numbers of sand dollars burrow close together within their habitat and will stand on end in still waters.

Our sand dollar charm measures approximately 5/8″ High x 5/8″ Wide. It is suspended on an 18″ chain alongside a recycled glass bead reminiscent of sea glass.
