100 Wyland Walls

Wyland Walls

Our Wyland Whaling walls stand as a tribute to ocean life, spanning over three decades, and we have completed more than 100 large-scale murals globally, each serving as a powerful reminder of the beauty and importance of marine conservation.

FAQs of the Wyland Walls

What are some of the key initiatives the Wyland Foundation has completed?

We have completed numerous impactful initiatives, including restoring public murals that raise awareness about marine life, launching the Clean Water Mobile Learning Center to educate students on water conservation, and developing STEM-based educational programs like our eutrophication exhibit. Each project aims to blend art and science to inspire communities to protect the environment.

How does the Wyland Foundation measure the success of its projects?

We measure success through the reach and engagement of our educational programs, the number of students and communities impacted, and the long-term outcomes of our initiatives. For example, our Clean Water Mobile Learning Center tour successfully reached over 6,000 students, providing hands-on water conservation education. Additionally, we track the restoration and preservation of public artworks, ensuring they continue to inspire environmental awareness.

How does the Wyland Foundation incorporate education into its accomplishments?

Education is at the heart of everything we do. We develop and implement interactive educational programs, such as our watershed study curriculum and STEM-based exhibits, which teach students and the public about key environmental issues like water quality, eutrophication, and conservation. These initiatives provide hands-on learning experiences that foster a deeper understanding of environmental stewardship.

How can I get involved in supporting the Wyland Foundation's future accomplishments?

You can support the Wyland Foundation by joining our membership program, participating in local events, or volunteering for upcoming initiatives. Your contributions help us continue our mission of promoting environmental education and conservation, expanding our reach, and inspiring future generations to protect our oceans, waterways, and marine life. Visit our “Get Involved” page for more information on how to make a difference!
